New Starter Pathway

STEP takes new teaching staff from their first week to confident, independent practice. It is practical, it fits around a full timetable, and your Innovator works alongside you throughout.

Everyone starts with STEP ON. Its sign-off visit decides what comes next: STEP AHEAD alongside your RAISE target, or STEP UP for more focused support first.

You lead your development: you try things in your lessons, look at what happens and decide what to do next. Your Innovator guides, challenges and helps you turn feedback into action.

STEP is not performance management. Your manager hears whether you are taking part and your sign-off outcome, not what you write.
