Feedback & Development
Turn the evidence into one action, and rehearse it with your Innovator before you use it.
What to do
1. Agree one action, written as an if-then plan.
2. Rehearse it with your Innovator for five minutes: say the exact words and do the exact actions.
3. Plan a second attempt before you make the first, so one shaky lesson does not end it.
Short on time?
Rehearse the first sentence out loud. Two minutes is enough.
Quick win for your next lesson
Script your first sentence. If the action is choosing who answers, decide the words now: "Ten seconds to think, then I'll choose someone."
WalkThrus to use
WalkThrus- Feedback as actionMaking feedback something you do.
- Rehearsal and performancePractising before it counts.
Reflect
Pause for a few minutes. Short notes or bullet points are enough.
- STOP:
What did my recording show?
- THINK:
Where might my action go wrong, and what will I do then?
- PLAN:
When are my first and second attempts?
Next step
Use the action in your next two lessons, then see it in practice in Stage 4.
Your reflection record
Prompts for your own notes on this stage. Bring them to your next conversation with your Innovator.
- What my recording showed, and the action I chose…
- What I rehearsed…
- What I noticed when rehearsing…
- What my Innovator's feedback on the rehearsal tells me…
- When my first and second attempts will be…
