Try Something New
Run a small experiment with one WalkThru, then decide to keep it, adapt it or drop it.
What to do
1. Write it as: "I'm trying X because I want Y. I'll use it with Z group and look for A."
2. Use it at least three times. Once is too few to judge.
3. Decide: keep, adapt or drop, and say why.
Short on time?
Write the one-line experiment and start it in your next lesson.
Quick win for your next lesson
Ask learners. A two-question Form at the end, "What helped? What got in the way?", tells you more than guessing.
Reflect
Pause for a few minutes. Short notes or bullet points are enough.
- STOP:
What happened each time?
- THINK:
Who did it help, and who needed more?
- PLAN:
Keep, adapt or drop?
Next step
Bring the evidence together in Stage 6.
Your reflection record
Prompts for your own notes on this stage. Bring them to your next conversation with your Innovator.
- My experiment…
- What I did, and how often…
- What I noticed…
- What learners said or showed…
- Keep, adapt or drop…
