PowerEd Session
Use your strategies in every lesson, and record the lesson you planned with PowerEd.
What to do
1. Before recording, write down what you think the feedback will say about your strategies.
2. Record the lesson you planned.
3. Compare your prediction with the feedback, using the steps below.
Short on time?
Watch only the parts of the recording where your strategies show.
Quick win for your next lesson
Count one thing in the recording, such as how many learners answered. A number makes progress easy to see next time.
Using your PowerEd feedback
Before you read it: note what went well, what was hard and what you were conscious of.
After: what stood out, what surprised you, and is there a pattern?
Then: one thing to keep, one to change, and what you will look for next time.
It is a starting point for reflection, not a score. You do not have to agree with all of it.
Reflect
Pause for a few minutes. Short notes or bullet points are enough.
- STOP:
What did I predict?
- THINK:
Where was I right, and where not?
- PLAN:
What will I adjust?
Next step
Unpick the recorded session in Stage 10.
